EARTHLINGS UNITE!
It's becoming more and more obvious that, on its present course,
Planet Earth and its inhabitants are in for a very rough ride as the
next few decades play out. Breakdowns in the political,
economic, and ecological spheres all contribute to imminent
changes of epic proportions.
Consider these changes as birthing pains, because even as things
look bleak, and we seem to be hurdling towards a hot, mean,
overcrowded existance on this space ship we call Home,
the solutions to all of our problems are being manifest in diverse
locations across the face of the planet.
It is not being melodramatic to say that we are in a race against time.
What we have is the struggle of a new way of being trying to
emerge amongst the wreckage of an old system that will not
recognize its own inherent destructiveness.
That old system is being propped up in two ways:
One is by all those who profit in wealth and power by keeping things
the way they are.
The other is by all of those who resign themselves to thinking that
this is simply the way things are, and we can't do anything about it.
The purpose of this website is to help nurture the consciousness needed to countervail
these two devolutionary forces. For the human experiment to move towards a
sustainable and compassionate future it is required of each and every one
of us to do the work of rational exploration, deep personal assessment,
and active participation, in our own unique ways, to bring these
ideals and visions to fruition. There's no denying that things
are going to get worse before they get better, but the more
of us get on board with the project, the quicker we'll
be able to steer this ship towards a future we'll
be happy to leave for the coming generations.
